The Finger Lakes is a world-class wine producing region that specializes in aromatic white varieties like Riesling and Gewurztraminer. The region is also finding exciting success with cool-climate reds like Cabernet Franc and Pinot Noir. The terroir of the Finger Lakes is special because of the microclimate created by the lake’s extreme cold weather in the winter is avoided and warm, breezy days during the summer help ripen the grapes. Finger Lakes Wine Country, New York is home to more than 100 wineries, breweries and distilleries centered around Keuka, Seneca, Cayuga and Skaneateles Lakes. In addition, many of the beverage producers are also members of their respective wine and beers trails which host year-round wine and food weekend events.

Handcrafting award-winning spirits and hard ciders starts with our apple trees, and carries on a family business established over 100 years ago. From tree to Cider Mill, Cider Mill to Cider House or Distillery, the entire process takes place on our orchard in Lafayette, New York.
The story of Anyela’s Vineyards began three generations ago in Eastern Europe and continues today on the hillside high above Skaneateles Lake. The Nocek family combines its viticultural experience with the cooler climate patterns and fertile soil to grow our select grapes.
Riesling, one of the most important commercial wine grape varieties, also serves as the most prominent varietal on our vineyard, comprising over half of the 28 acres of plantings. The vineyard has significant plantings of other popular German varietals such as Gewurztraminer and Blaufrankisch, although the grapes of Burgundy and Bordeaux play an important role in our production as well.
